Jessica Johnson, LCSW
Clinical Therapist
516-659-7791
Jessica Johnson, LCSW, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and psychotherapist with specialized training in trauma-informed care, PTSD, EMDR and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. She works with individuals ages 16 and older, many of whom are navigating life transitions, coping with anxiety, or managing unique stressors of being a first responder or a family member of one.
Jessica’s areas of specialization include anxiety disorders, depression, stress and burnout, life transitions, and trauma and stressor-related disorders, including PTSD. She begins treatment with meeting clients where they’re at and utilizes a strength-based and validating approach, helping clients explore different perspectives while creating a safe, supportive environment for growth and healing. Jessica tailors her therapeutic style to meet each client’s unique needs and draws on evidence-based practices to provide compassionate, effective care. She asks exploratory questions for clients to reflect on between sessions and finds that incorporating humor can be a powerful and healing tool. Clients frequently tell her that she makes them feel comfortable, heard and supported in their work together – and many appreciate how well she remembers the details that matter to them.
Outside of her practice Jessica enjoys spending time with friends and family, reading, crafting, and going to concerts. Her hope is that every client leaves session feeling understood, supported, and more compassionate toward themselves.
